Spiritual Director, Courtney Mys, M.Div., BCC has 25+ years of experience supporting people in their spiritual development. As a clinical chaplain in healthcare, I specialized in working with people from many traditions on often the worst day of their lives.
I left a career in geology after experiencing a spontaneous physical healing event, told by many, “nothing could be done”. I began with a religious tradition, but then sought to grow and to integrate a spiritual life. Thus, I believe the Divine is “Still Speaking” to us. The comedienne, Gracie Allen, sums up my journey, “Never place a period where God has placed a comma.”
Now living in San Diego, one of my favorite goals was visiting all 50 United States before turning 50. Large beach bonfires, kayaking, creating interior design as sacred space, and a good adventure film (with Trader Joe’s snacks) fill my soul. I can say that I enjoy meditation, but in fact, I really “need” meditation.
